You never know what you can do until you try, and very few try unless they have to. —C.S. Lewis

The quote above refers to the practice of writing. For most of my life, I have loved writing almost as much as I have loved reading. I have done more than my fair share of it as a lifelong student, teacher, Head of School, and general lover of words and language. But, I have rarely written so personally and publicly. This website offers me an opportunity to weave together my professional and personal selves in new and different ways and another opportunity to share what I have gathered on my learning journey. I am trying, as Lewis suggests, to see what I can do.

I invite you to read what is here–the blogs or haiku–or to use the resources I will share and leave your own thoughts in the comments. In my blog, I tend to spend more time thinking through writing and try to bring together what I am learning through practice, especially as it relates to education and teaching. I have a place for less formal ramblings (what I call randoms) where I comment on day-to-day life. Please feel free to respond or start a random conversation there.

Thank you for being part of my journey of practice.
